Sexual Intercourse

Sexual Intercourse (AKA Sex)

Watching TV, movies or reading mag’s it is easy to think that everyone is having sex, but it is not true….Many young people are in serious and steady relationships, being close and loving with someone, without 'going all the way' and having sexual intercourse.

How can I tell if I am ready for sex?

Most people of a religious background believe that sexual intercourse should be the ultimate expression of love between two people who commit their lives to each other in marriage. Many others agree that it should only happen as part of a committed, caring relationship.
When it comes to relationships, there can be many conflicting pressures on you - from family, friends and even the media. Some people will have your own interests at heart and will want to look out for your happiness and safety. Others may simply want what is best for themselves. The most important thing is for you to consider your own values and beliefs and to consider the consequences of your actions, both for yourself and for your partner.

·Do you really want to have sex? (You are not just being pressured into it and doing it for all the wrong reasons)
·Do you like,trust & respect your partner?
·Most importantly, are you prepared to take responsibility for having ‘Safe Sex’?

REMEMBER…Do Not be pressured into sex, and don’t put your future at risk by having unsafe sex….
To help keep you safe from unwanted pregnancy, and to help protect you and your partner from HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, there are a number of choices:

·Don't have sex
·Use Contraception
