Boys Zone

Puberty can be a very awkward and confusing time in your life this is because you and your body go through so many changes. Puberty affects both girls & boys differently it also can affect each person differently no matter what sex they are. Here is rough guide to boys & puberty.

Some of the things that happen to Boys:

·You will grow taller, can be up to 5 to 12 cm in a year
·Your voice will deepen but for a while your voice might be squeaky at times, but will then go deep again
·Shoulders will broaden and muscles will develop, you face will look more adult
·Your penis & testicles will grow bigger. This means you will be able to produce sperm, sometimes you may get an erection (your penis goes hard) for no apparent reason…..this is NORMAL.
·You may feel moody or angry & feel no-one understands you. If you need to talk to someone or need advice about what is upsetting you, why don’t you pop in to your local Youth Health service or Y sort it.
·You also grow hair, mostly under your arms, chest, legs and around your pubic area. This may be a different texture and colour from your head hair. You'll also get more hair on your legs, body and face.
·When you shave, never borrow someone else’s razor. A little aftershave will help clean your skin if there are any small cuts after shaving.

Just remember this is a phase your body is going through that won’t last forever concentrate on feeling and looking healthy!!!
